TECHNICAL ADVISER (REGULATORY AFFAIRS)

What’s the role? 
OCIMF has consultative status at the IMO and represents the views of our members. Day to day, you will monitor submissions to the IMO to identify, distil and prioritise issues of interest to our members. You will manage activities to develop OCIMF positions on these issues, prepare member briefings and support the delivery of agreed positions at IMO. This will involve participating in IMO and other industry work group meetings, which may extend into the evenings.

You will also engage with OCIMF committee/sub-committee members and other senior people in the maritime industry and IMO Secretariat. Working within the OCIMF Secretariat, your role will include advising colleagues and OCIMF members on technical aspects of regulatory issues and responding to technical enquiries. You will report to and work closely with our Deputy Director/Chief Representative to the IMO.

This is a new role and a rare and exciting opportunity to join OCIMF, the foremost authority on the safe and environmentally responsible operation of oil tankers, terminals and offshore support vessels.
