Don Davis

Don Davis has a significant depth of experience in tanker, barge, marine terminal and offshore vessel operations and assurance gained in Chevron Shipping Company.

In 1989, after completing Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan, USA, Don joined Chevron Shipping Company.

In his most recent role as General Manager of Global Marine Assurance, he led a globally distributed team responsible for the assurance of Chevron’s worldwide tanker, barge, offshore vessel and marine terminal activities, and running Chevron’s OCIMF Submitting Company inspection programme.

For five years, Don has been Chevron’s representative on OCIMF’s P&A Offshore Principal Committee, serving the last four years as that committee’s Chair. He also served as Chevron’s alternate representative on the OCIMF Executive Committee.

Don joined OCIMF in July 2026 as Managing Director.
