Terminal Interfaces

The transportation of crude oil, oil products, chemicals and liquefied gas by tankers and the transfer of cargoes with terminals inshore, onshore and offshore is inherently associated with risk. Over five decades, OCIMF has developed a wide range of best practice guidance to reduce risk in the movement and storage of these complex liquids.

OCIMF’s resource materials are developed to provide evidence-based technical guidance developed by industry experts in order to improve the safety of operations. Publications are developed to respond to specific areas of risk or concern, or to provide new guidance on emerging issues. Many of OCIMF’s publications are developed in association with other relevant industry organisations and in collaboration with representatives from across the marine industry.

MTIS

The Marine Terminal Information System (MTIS) aims to ensure that all marine terminals worldwide reach common high standards of safety and environmental protection.
