OCIMF has a suite of four Management Self-Assessment titles, Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA), Offshore Vessel Management and Self-Assessment (OVMSA), Marine Terminal Management and Self-Assessment (MTMSA) and the Ship-to-Ship Service Provider Management and Self-Assessment Guide.

The new SIRE 2.0 regime will roll out to industry in a phased approach. Until then, the current SIRE programme will continue to be updated and improved to incorporate the latest standards, best practice and regulations.

The Barge Inspection Report Programme (BIRE) provides technical and operational information to charterers, terminal operators and government bodies concerned with ship safety in the vetting of barges and support vessels.

The EBIS, an independent Europe-only barge inspection regime currently operated by EBIS has transitioned to OCIMF’s BIRE/SIRE to create a single barge inspection scheme.

Since its inception, OCIMF’s Ship Inspection Report Programme (SIRE) has helped to support continuous improvement in the safety of the marine industry by providing a robust tanker risk assessment tool and vessel inspection report database.
